Objectives

The research master program of the European Master in Translational Neuroscience (EMTN) aims at providing students with a firm and comprehensive footing in the fields of fundamental and translational neuroscience. The international and interdisciplinary curriculum offers graduates the best preparation for a successful research career in the neurosciences.

The objective of the master program is to train researchers who can collaborate with neuroscientists, clinicians and the pharmaceutical industry in seeking a translational approach to develop therapeutic strategies. The partners of the program combine their individual areas of expertise into a comprehensive and complementary educational program. This integrative approach not only improves the quality of the program but also has benefits for teaching at the different sites and provides opportunities for mobility and exchange of staff. The students will benefit from the international environment because they will visit laboratories in the different countries, spend a research elective there and, in their second year of the EMTN program, will choose another one of the international partners for their prolonged internship.
